Weight Lifting. More weight less reps or less weight more reps?

February 8th, 2010

Okay im trying to get my arms bigger and get stronger. Im 14 and my arms aren’t that big. The only weight lifting equipment i have are dumbbells. So what should I do more weight less reps or less weight more reps?

To gain size add weight, to tone add reps. It looks like you’re trying to bulk up so add weight with less reps.

As for exercises, do: Lateral Raises, and military press for bigger arms.

Generally speaking, you should be doing both, since the human body has slow and fast twitch muscle fibres, which should both be exploited.
