I have found that about $150.00 blender is great.my $60.00 wally world oster fusion has steel gears and runs great.your right it just takes longer in the blender to thin out.BUT my blender will not do tinny seeds and fake ice creame.chop food and smoothies with no small seeds it works great.never owned a high power machine
so I don’t know if they chop small seeds or not.

I can open a young coconut with a little paring knife. I don’t like the sharp stuff. I use a plate to cut my produce. I am so glad that you emphasized that a regular blender is do-able! I don’t yet have a Vitamix and plan to go high raw soon and I wanna make green smoothies:)

    Thank you for …
Thank you for opening my eyes that I don’t need equipment I don’t have or could afford! I have rheumatoid arthritis and this raw food diet could save my life. I was ready to toss in the towel because I felt I couldn’t succeed with the life change without all the equipment and you have gave me what I needed to hear. I will keep you posted as to how I’m succeeding with only a household blender. Thanks again!
