My weight lifting workouts today are a far cry from what I did when I was a kid. I was 16 and fat when I started lifting weights in 1986. I found out that underneath all that lard I had carried around for so many years was a pretty decent looking body. I joined the wrestling team my junior year of High School and that is where my serious weight training started. Weight lifting straps become a very necessary piece of lifting equipment when the weight on the bar exceeds the amount of how much weight you can actually hold with your hands. I never needed lifting straps before because, not knowing the importance of overload, I never did lift more than I could hold with my hands alone. That all changed when I was introduced to Static Contraction Training.

Shellie tried Big Backs at Muscle Beach Venice and it did not take her long to decide. She recently ordered another pair. They must work!
Albert, an inked and muscled Los Angeles lifter, Albert gives Big Back Grips a try.
Ryan Swase is a muscle competitor in the Muscle Beach Championship and he came by the Big Back Booth to put Big Back Lifting grips to the test. He’s sick of dealing with the callous and the aggravation that lifting bare handed can cause. Once he got his hands on Big Back Grips he could get into the groove with ease, comfort, and concentration on his muscles, not his hands.
Jason is a pretty strong guy we met walking around at the Muscle Beach Championships. We asked him to try Big Back Grips and he became an instant believer.
Phil is “strap man”, using lifting straps for heavy pulls. THEN he discovered Big Back Grips at Muscle Beach Venice and became one of our biggest fans.
Big Back Beauties Tammy Boonkkamp and Lucy Wilson go head to head in a hang in challenge on Muscle Beach’s super smooth chinning bar.
Weight Lifter Richie Medina came to the Muscle Beach competition to spectate and never expected to be challenged to change his entire workout. We asked him to compare Big Back Lifting Grips the straps/wraps he usually uses on our lat machine and Venice Beach’s SUPER SMOOTH sand eroded chinning bar… take a look and see what he has to say now!
Chris was competing at the Mr. Muscle Beach and found way to get a better workout.
Traci is a strong a beautiful figure competitor who’s sick of her workout’s leaving her with unfeminine calluses. Big Back Grips are the perfect solution. She stopped by our booth to put them to the test, and it did not take very long before she was a believer!
