HIIT High Intensity Interval Training Cardio

January 16th, 2012

Posted by admin in cardio equipment | 25 Comments »

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) or sprint interval training, is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT is an effective form of cardiovascular exercise.

HIIT training can be done on any piece of cardio equipment, or even outdoors on a field or track

Believe it or not there IS such thing as doing TOO MUCH cardio. Your goals is to use cardio as a tool for cardiovascular benefits and heath not to be the staple of your weight loss. It can be a supplement to a proper strength training routine as well as nutrition plan but your main deficit should come through your diet.
