I’m looking for something I can do cardio.. treadmill or elliptical?
or what ? suggestions please. looking to get something to benefit me well has a birthday present
and it’s difficult to diet when my family isn’t cooperative and willing to get a better selection of healthier foods. Like they just don’t care, like I can work around the junk cause theres just more junk how can I approach this with my mom ?

Want something that will cost you less than a treadmill or elliptical and help you with strength training as well as cardio? Not only that it will take up so little room you wont even know its there when you arent using it.

check this out, and no im not affiliated with them, i just use the site and the product and love it.

www.liveexercise.com. The site and workouts are free. you could go to walmart and get bands but the ones they sell are much better. What you would do there is up to you. I want you to look at the workouts so you can see how versatile training this way is.

Alright, as far as the food goes, you may have to be in there when say your mom is cooking, ask for a foreman grill. If mom is making cheesy hamburger fat/calorie bomb, ask her for enough hamburger that you can cook one on your grill. Eat it with a wholegrain bun and some veggies. Just an example. Sometimes you just have to take the initiative and cook for yourself alone. I have to do it, sometimes i can get the family to eat what im eating and i make enough for everyone.

Ask your mom for more veggies. go with her shopping and try to get her to buy some healthy things for you. maybe if your eating and exercise start producing good results for you, you can get the rest of the family involved.

What’s a good home cardio workout without equipment or running?

Normally I run track, but on the days when I can’t go I need something to do at home at night. I need a workout that burns about 300 or more calories. I don’t have a treadmill or anything, so is there any home workout that I can do (like sit-ups pushups whatever, just more organized)

Sit ups + push ups are not really cardio in the sense of increasing fitness and burning fat, they are more for building muscle, try the M100 work out, bit of a killer but melts fat off you and increases your fitness massively – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkD9LwDBWW0

Eat healthy – whole what carsb, lean protein, lots of veggies and fruit, low fat dairy, tons of water, skip the fatty fast, friend food and salt and sugary foods and sodas.

For exercise – try circuit workouts! I don’t have any equipment either..I do BodyRock on YouTube..they are super short but effective!! also, pretend jumping rope is a great aerobic workout!

Who do I hire to set up my new gym equipment? And about how much will they charge? Per machine?

January 28th, 2012

I am trying to setup a home gym and I keep finding good deals online for fitness equipment but I would like to have someone set up what I purchase. I have yet to find any places that set up and deliver for free and since I will not have time or patience to put the equipment together I wanted to hire someone. What kind of profession would do this for a reasonable price? Any ideas how much??

Depends on a couple of facts what city you live, all are different. Personally outside of a company setting this up I have never heard of any companies that set up any kind of Gym equipment unless its one that just sells and set up specifically.

Outside of that Your probably are needing to be looking for a handyman type of guy maintenance guy
about the only thing I can suggest either looking for a maintenance type company that has people whom are mechanically inclined or put an ad on say Craigslist for a handyman I suggest while doing this is risky I would have an older gentleman vs a younger one as for trust issues of having a stranger in your home use common sense and leave no one unattended in your home If you do find a handyman he will charge you a per hour rate vs per machine rate.

Your best bet is to shop around and find the best handyman at a affordable rate so any kind of company that provides handy man type services as a business and if you hire a handyman service make sure they are licensed bonded and insured and use due diligence and common sense

Hope that helps
