Bayou Fitness E-Series Pull Up Power Tower- E-7617 – Hot P90X Body Workout

February 28th, 2011

Posted by admin in weight equipment | 4 Comments »

If you are looking for one of the most comprehensive pieces of fitness equipment, the E-7617 is for you.

This machine allows for push-ups, multiple grip pull-ups / chin-ups, dips and vertical knee raises to be performed in one compact and sturdy machine.

The reverse pitch combined with the rear counter weight design and carefully chosen location of each station creates a very solid machine with the elimination of tipping and swaying that can occur in some lighter or less well designed power towers.

Each piece of the frame is made of heavy square tubing and thick steel bolts. The end caps and grips are textured rubber and the padding itself is crease free, sweat resistant vinyl over thick high quality foam padding. This all ensures that your workouts on the E-7617 are safe, comfortable and useful.

While the makeup and quality of the components are very important in a power tower, the amount of exercises and the many variations are essential to most users. The E-7617 offers a high and wide push-up station that allows users to vary the depth of their motion, which will target the various heads of the pectoral muscle. The dip station includes thickly textured rubber grips that allow users to perform dips while their body is clear of the VKR or pull-up / chin-up station. The vertical knee raise (VKR) station includes an angled ergonomic back pad for comfort on the shoulder blades and lower back along with contoured arm pads, which extend from elbow to wrist for comfort and security. In addition, the grip posts are placed at an ideal space from the arm pads and are tall enough for multiple hand sizes.

The pull-up station on the E-7617 is one of the most versatile portions of the machine. It features split hand grips to allow a complete clearance of the user’s head in addition to fully angled grips. The initial portion of the grip is a straight section, which is often not found in power towers. This allows for parallel (neutral) grip chin-ups, which places the least stress on the shoulders, elbows and wrists. The remaining curve of the bars allows for forward and reverse grip pull-ups and chin-ups with wide, normal, narrow and mixed grips. This all combines to create a specific station and an overall machine that will allow infinite growth in your fitness routine.

How can I gain body muscle without using a gym?

February 27th, 2011

I’m 14 and very thin like, was wondering how I could become more broad and gain some body muscle without having to go to a gym or using weight lifting equipment. Do I have to do regular press ups each day?

Its not gonna be easy but can be done.
Home exercises will slowly improve your physic

Sit Ups (Unassisted) and Crunches – Abs
Press Ups – Chest
Shoulder Press Ups – Shoulders

Also cardio can easily be done by running.

I’d invest in some weights however, reasonably cheap at £20 for a 20kg Dumbell set on Amazon, and speed up muscle development.

Where can I buy kettlebells and other fitness equipment in Geneva Switzerland?

February 27th, 2011

Posted by admin in fitness equipment | 2 Comments »

I’m looking to buy some home fitness equipment for our place in France and kettlebells, plyo balls, etc would be at the top of the list. Any ideas?

A few options:
There are quite a few sports stores in malls in Geneva. The malls are:
Balexert (mall), Praille (mall), MPark and in Meyrin Shopping center next to Media Markt (in the same building with Pfster). All of these sell your standard equipment for working out.

Next you have downtown. Here I can only think of two: Manor (small but has a number of products) and Oschner on the Rue Bas.

If you want to save a penny, you can also check out these websites, which are the trusted websites for buying and selling used stuff in Switzerland:
www.anibis.ch
http://www.petitesannonces.ch/
www.ricardo.ch

The last one is ‘like ebay’ but ebay isnt as popular over here as it is elsewhere.

Last but not least you could try Amazon.fr That might sound loony but they just started FREE SHIPPING to Switzerland which has changed my life (for books anyway).

Hope that helps!

The Fit Way to a Womans Health

Fitness, muscle-building and gym work-outs have gone beyond the traditional all-male club. With the hype over fitness and health and a healthy lifestyle, women have joined the club as well. However, men and women have different fitness needs.

Womens fitness and exercise needs are focused on the muscles of the upper back. Most of their exercise work-outs are also designed for the stomach muscles, especially those who have just given birth.

At the same time, exercises for women are usually designed for weight loss. And while men tend to focus on muscle building whereas women work on toning their muscles, strength training is important for both.

Work your muscles on the front of your thighs. Stretch your shoulder muscles by standing straight and rolling the shoulders backward in a circular motion.

Womens fitness is the key to your beauty!
